Cathy Andrade, a fixture of Bay Area power skating and supplemental coach for the Blackhawks, has created an off-ice training facility in San Jose called "Extra Hour".

The facility is still growing, but currently contains 4 synthetic ice shooting lanes, a goalie training area, strength and conditioning equipment, and more.  Future plans include a skating treadmill and training classes.
