For the fifth year, the Blackhawks hosted a skating party for foster youth in Santa Clara County.  Blackhawks coaches, players, and parents volunteered their time to setup, greet the kids and their Advocates, share lunch, tie some laces, and have a fun time on the ice!

There were 45 foster children and 40 Advocates at the event.  CASA CEO Frederick Ferrer expressed thanks for "your generosity which made this a special day for children!"  CASA Mentor Jessica Lee said the kids "all had a blast on the ice with our very gentle Blackhawks hockey players."

Child Advocates of Silicon Valley recruits, trains, and supports volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates to work one-on-one with children in the foster care system.  Learn more at https://bemyadvocate.org/
