Blackhawk Power Skating Coach   Cathy Andrade

Born in Calgary, Canada.

Cathy has amassed in excess of 25 years of experience teaching skating techniques. She has coached in both Canada and the United States.

Before moving to California, Cathy was the head coach at the Calgary Winter Club. She spent 12 years at the Eastridge Ice Arena where she implemented their first Power Skating Program. Cathy coached Golden State Hockey Schools since 1993 and had taught her customized Power Hour since 1998. From 2004 to present, Cathy has instructed at Sharks Ice at San Jose and Fremont. Over the years, Cathy has worked with many Bay Area travel hockey clubs to include: California Cougars, Santa Clara Blackhawks and the Jr. Sharks. In 2005 Cathy worked with the Fresno Falcons (ECHL)- former San Jose Sharks affiliate team. Also, during the 2009 and 2010 off-season cathy trained NHL players.
