All seven of the Blackhawk's A/B teams (8U-14U) travelled to Lake Tahoe over the Labor Day weekend for a great mixture of fun, team bonding, and hard work.

Each team had 4 to 5 ice slots over the long weekend.  The coaches worked on building familiarity between their players, and continued the standard Blackhawks development efforts with lots of skating, passing, and shooting practice.  Small area games and larger scrimmages brought both smiles and sweat!

Teams kept at it off the ice, including some dry-land training and more team building activities (scavenger hunts, relay races, team meals, etc.).

One ice slot was reserved for Family Skate, so parents and siblings could join in for some on-ice fun.

All the teams gathered on the beach Sunday afternoon and evening for team picnics.  A lot of hamburgers were grilled!  Sadly, there was no fireworks show this year, but the kids found ways to have fun late into the night.
