IHONC (the Ice Hockey Officials of Northern California) are getting ready to have their training for new and returning officials in the bay area.

For new officials, training will be:

• 8/13, San Jose
• 8/14, Oakland
• 8/21, Fresno
• 8/28, Roseville
• 9/24, South Lake Tahoe
• 10/2, Santa Rosa
• 10/9, Stockton

You cannot register with USA Hockey as an official until after 8/1/16, and then you register with IHONC.  Training includes the seminar and also taking the required on line training (modules) through the USA Hockey website.

Officials can ref players at levels below their own, and you will be able to specify which rinks and what times your are available.  Officials are paid for their time, based on the age level and duration of the games they officiate.

The IHONC website is here, but it doesn't look like it has been updated with all the information yet.  Check back with them after you register with USA hockey after 8/1.
